Saturday June 23, 2012 an Anchorage, Alaska condo complex caught on fire leaving one person injured.
In all, there were eight different plex units that were either heavily damaged from fire or smoke. The bottom units were the most severely damaged. As for the people living in the complex, all but one escaped uninjured. As for the person injured, they were taken to the hospital for treatment.
For right now, there is no word on how the fire started. It will be thoroughly investigated, but it is assumed to be an accident.
When it comes to being injured in a fire, you may be able to seek compensation for your injuries or even your damaged property. It will depend on the nature of the situation, but in most cases, if the fire wasn’t your fault you would be entitled to compensation.
