On August 13, 2012, a Fairbanks teenager collided with a semi-truck while riding his four-wheeler. The teen was immediately taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where he remains.
Eighteen year old Brandon Clarence was riding his four-wheeler on a path near the intersection of Rainbow Drive and Chena Hot Spring Road when he crashed into the semi-truck.
Clarence’s injuries are unknown, but troopers explained that his injuries could’ve been much worse should he have not have been wearing a helmet. The semi-truck suffered a lot of damage, but luckily the driver was okay.
Four-wheelers are dangerous if not driven with caution. Proper safety gear is also necessary. Helmets can be the one thing that saves your life should you find yourself in an accident. Fortunately, Clarence had his helmet on.
If four-wheeling is a recreational activity that you enjoy, be aware of the possibility of an accident. Four-wheeling accidents are rather common and should you ever become involved in one, call an Anchorage accident attorney for legal assistance. They will investigate the accident to find who was at fault and see if you may be entitled to compensation for your injuries.
