  • Last week, a man was walking across the road when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The drive of the vehicle just left the young man laying there with severe injuries sustained from the unfortunate Anchorage hit and run accident.

On Thursday September 20, 2012, twenty six year old Jeffrey Mohs was crossing 45th Avenue and Arctic Boulevard on his way to the gas station when he was struck by a vehicle. Mohs had laid there until ambulance rushed him to the hospital. The vehicle had taken off.

The vehicle that hit Mohs has yet to be found. Officials believe that the car was a 1984-1988 red Pontiac Fiero, which they concluded by parts that were left at the scene of the accident.

Mohs is still at the Providence Alaska Medical Center where he had his foot amputated and suffers from a great deal of other injuries. He may even suffer from paralysis.

Hit and run accidents are unfortunate in that it takes a great deal of detective work in order to find the criminal that committed the accident. Moh’s family will need to hire an Alaska accident attorney to help them with the investigation and to build a case if they wish to seek compensation for their son’s losses.
