  •  During the timeframe of the AST Halloween campaign, over 400 citations were given, yet none of them involved fatal accidents.

There were 25 DUI arrests, 29 without a license, 175 speeding tickets, and 14 seatbelt violations over the period of the AST Halloween campaign. As for accidents, there were 25 in which only 6 were injured. Luckily, there were no fatalities.

The Halloween season tends to bring many motor vehicle accidents with it. This year, for Alaska, there weren’t too many compared to past years. Many states have been starting campaigns and getting law enforcement to come together each Halloween season to help put an end to drunk driving, a huge reason for many of the accidents. This has proven to be helpful.
